Your data, your rights
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 June 2026
We believe you have a right to know exactly what happens with your data — and we are happy to explain it clearly. No jargon, no hidden agendas.
Who we are
Violca is operated by Objects Gallery LTD, registered in the United Kingdom (company number 08715126), with registered office at 134 Swarcliffe Avenue, Leeds, England, LS14 5NH.
For any privacy-related questions, email us at info@violca.com. We will always respond personally.
What we collect and why
We collect only what we actually need:
- —Order information (name, email, shipping address, payment details) — to process and deliver your order. Payment data is handled entirely by our payment processor; we never store your card details.
- —Account information — if you create an account, we store your email and order history so you can manage your purchases easily.
- —Email address for marketing — only if you opt in explicitly. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click.
- —Usage data (pages visited, browser type, IP address) — to understand how the site performs and to improve your experience.
Cookies
We use cookies to make the site work properly — keeping items in your cart, remembering your preferences, and understanding how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not use cookies for intrusive advertising tracking. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Who we share your data with
We share your data only with the services that help us run Violca:
- —Shopify — our e-commerce platform, which processes your order
- —Shipping carriers — to deliver your parcel
- —Klaviyo — email marketing, only if you opted in to our newsletter
- —Analytics tools — to understand site performance (anonymised data only)
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third party for their own marketing purposes. Ever.
How long we keep your data
We keep your order records for as long as legally required (typically 7 years for accounting purposes). Marketing data is kept only while you remain subscribed. You can ask us to delete your account and personal data at any time.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- —Access the data we hold about you
- —Correct any inaccuracies
- —Ask us to delete your data
- —Withdraw consent for marketing at any time
- —Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@violca.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to protect your data. Our store runs over HTTPS. Payments are processed by PCI-compliant providers. We do not store card details.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we take this seriously and act quickly if anything ever changes.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data, we will update this page and, where relevant, notify you by email. The date at the top of this page will always reflect when it was last updated.
